Original 'Genesis' Prestige model 1999 Ibanez RG570 Super Strat in Gray nickel finish Made in JAPAN The RG570 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1997. It was made in JAPAN by FujiGen Gaki. This 1999 model RG570 (made from 1997-2002) replaced an earlier RG570 which has slightly different specs. This special new model was available ONLY in the USA until 2002 when it was also offered in Europe. The previous RG570 model continued to be offered in Japan through 1997. This Japanese RG570 (made exclusively for the US market) from 1999 features a basswood body bolted to an all maple neck and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. It has Ibanez V7 and V8 humbucking pickups flanking an Ibanez S1 single-coil; the pickups are mounted to pickup rings. Output jack: ¼" stereo barrel (side mounted) All-access neck joint (AANJ). Other components include a licensed Floyd Rose (Original Ibanez Edge block) double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut (Top-Lok III) and Gotoh Japan machine heads. Body Colour: Gray Nickel finish (flips between silver, gray and nickel depending on the angle and amount of light exposure, STUNNING!) The 'Genesis' of 'The Legendary' RG Prestige Series Guitars (ref: 2003 RG1570 Prestige) The RG570 was replaced for 2003 by the RG1570, which was part of the expanded Prestige line and in fact the first Prestige model ever released, based on & inspired  by the 1997 to 2002 Japanese made/US market only released RG570. This 1999 RG570 (models made from 1997 to 2002) was the 'Prestige' high-end model of the day! Top of the range flagship model in other words. The legend/myth of the famed and renowned Japanese RG's from the 90s is real and here is a true reflection. *Pro setup done with perfect action and intonation. NEW strings supplied & fitted: Ernie Ball Super slinky 9 - 42 (UNPLAYED since the restring!) I've played my fair share of Prestige's over time and I honestly feel this has been the best one so far! (I'm not sure if it's the guitar or the great setup that was executed!! Plays like BUTTER... lol) Body has a few marks, but the frets are essentially like new with ZERO signs of any wear. This 1999 RG570 is actually an improvement on that! *Not to be confused with the more modern series specifically called GENESIS that Ibanez issued some years afterwards.
