Sea Freight Import and Export Controller

● Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

1/ Plan and manage Sea Import Forwarding

2/ Identify customer solutions on rates and services

3/ Negotiate freight rates, landsides and ad hoc services where required

4/ Manage the Clearing, Release & Delivery of imported consignments

5/ Manage Job Profit ie. process shipment billing and check and post relevant Creditor's Invoices

6/ Daily (or as per agreed SOP's) Client Status Reports

7/ Arrange Insurance cover where required and process claims

8/ Resolve client, service providers and internal queries professionally and timeously on email and telephonically

9/ Participate in client meetings, discuss challenges and possible solutions

10/ Maintain a good working relationship with National Team and other Departments

11/ Adhere to client SOP's and Operational Processes and Procedures
