Rob Ferreira Retirement Village is located on the banks of the Vaal River near the agricultural town Christiana in the far southwest of the North West Province. The Retirement Village is very accessible from the N12 national route between Gauteng and Cape Town. From Gauteng take the N12 through Potchefstroom, Wolmaransstad and Bloemhof to Christiana. The Retirement Village is +/- 57 km from Bloemhof on the way to Christiana, approximately 4 km in front of Christiana on the left. From Cape Town take the N12 through Kimberley and Warrenton to Christiana. The Retirement Village is +/- 52 km from Warrenton on the way past Christiana, approximately 4 km past Christiana on the right. The Retirement Village’s residential units were previously part of Rob Ferreira Holiday Resort, consisting of a hotel, mineral baths, caravan camp and a nature reserve, zoned as Portion 25 of the farm Christiana Town and Town-lands No. 325-HO.

On 17 January 2006 an area of 30.1234 hectares of portion 25 which included the residential units, was rezoned as Portion 80 (a portion of Portion 25) for the purpose of erecting a retirement village and purposes incidental thereto. The new rezoned area is renamed Rob Ferreira Retirement Village, and was established as a retirement village with a life right policy. The original residential units were sold to life right owners and developed into two and three bedroom homes with one or two bathrooms, as well as a single or double garage, according to the owner’s personal needs. Rob Ferreira Retirement Village consist of 78 residential units, recreation complex and an administration office with large open general common living space between residential units. The village’s current living area of approximately 10 hectares is fenced with palisades, and access to the premises is obtained via remote control gates. There is a further potential of 150 units that can be built. The prices of the current residential units vary from R 450 000 tot R 1 000 000, depending on the new life right owner’s personal needs.
