Cascade Country Manor

Situated on 23 hectares of privately owned land between olive orchards, buchuland, and vineyards lays Cascade Manor Guest House, an idyllic retreat. Meandering through the farm, creating a wonderful tranquillity, is a small river that cascades over a rock face in the heart of the estate. Your hosts at this family-owned guest house are Maika and Volker Goetze. Volker is a creative hobby chef offering pre-booked dinners made from fresh local produce. The little farm in a Kloof at the foot of the Limitberg has had many owners over the past century. The estate called Paarl Waterfall Park boasts a history filled with all genres. The friendly people of Paarl have welcomed us into their town and have told us a number of stories associated with the farm, but we do know that we have not heard all of it yet. As we gather more information this page will be edited and extended.

Feel like a round of golf in the morning, a lavish lunch in the afternoon and a wine tasting to conclude a perfect day. Walking, hiking and mountain bike trails lead from Waterfall Park into the Limitberg Nature Reserve, providing perfect conditions for the leisurely strolling nature lover as well as for the sports and fitness fanatic. One could also take a tractor ride between Seidelberg Wine Estate and Fairview Cheese Estate or, when in season, try your hand at picking fresh strawberries. There is also various wine estates situated within close proximity of the Manor House, including the famous Nederburg estate, Ashanti – well-known for its red wines, Kleine Valley, and many more, exclusive boutique wineries. Golfing enthusiasts can also take a trip to the 27 hole golf course situated on the Boschenmeer Estate just 10 minutes from the Manor House.

The neighbouring olive farm which hosts the brand name of Buffet Olives is South Africa's biggest table olive producer and a tour of the factory can always be arranged on request. For those serious hikers or even those seeking a gentle stroll amongst immaculate fynbos hills and mountains, there is definitely something that will prickle your interest.
