Graphics and desktop publishing expert to manage a printing business

Glonextech is a dynamic company specialising in cutting edge printing solutions we are looking for a talented graphics and desktop publishing expert to join our team in century city, cape town the ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of various printing techniques, paper types, and design work, and will play a crucial role in our printing business operations Responsibilities: Graphic design: Create high quality graphic designs for various print materials including brochures, business cards, flyers, posters, banners, and more. Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and deliver custom solutions ensure all designs are print ready and meet the highest standards of quality. Desktop publishing: Prepare documents and layouts for print using industry standard software such as adobe creative suite ( in design, illustrator, photoshop) and other dtp tools. Manage the pre press process, ensuring all files are correctly formatted and color accurate work closely with the printing team to oversee the production process and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Printing techniques: Utilise various printing techniques including offset printing, digital printing, screen printing, and large format printing. Stay up to date with the latest printing technologies and techniques to ensure the best quality output advise clients on the best printing methods for their specific needs. Paper knowledge: have a comprehensive understanding of different paper types, weights, finishes, and their suitability for various printing projects. Recommend the best paper options to clients based on their project requirements and budget Project management: Coordinate multiple design and printing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high quality results. Maintain detailed project records and communicate effectively with clients and team members throughout the project lifecycle Quality control: Conduct thorough quality checks on all printed materials to ensure they meet the company’s standards and client expectations. Implement quality control measures and continuously seek ways to improve processes and outcomes Qualifications:** proven experience in graphic design and desktop publishing, preferably within the printing industry. Proficiency in adobe creative suite ( in design, illustrator, photoshop) and other relevant software. Strong knowledge of various printing techniques and paper types excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for design and color accuracy. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Creative problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
