The Role:
 

We are looking for a Technical Team Leader â?? Industrial IT who will be responsible for building, maintaining and improving client relationships - Demonstrate and apply problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities:

Skills and Experience:
Qualification required:
Matric certificate (Mathematics/Science)
Driverâ??s License
MCSE/MCSA or equivalent
Preferred Qualification:
N. Diploma in IT/BSc IT
ITIL Certification
Experience required:
15+ year IT experience or 8+ year Industrial IT/MES experience
Key Accountabilities:
Duties:
Promote teamwork a good team relationship 
Communicate effectively - Follow, create and review technical processes and procedures
Complying to corporate, company, and regulatory policies and procedures
Facilitate and coordinate changes in the environment -
Perform capacity management to make sure no service failures occur because of capacity issues
Use and configure monitoring tools to increase availability of services supported in the environment
Make sure the CMDB has a 99% accuracy
Assist and coordinate projects
Conform to all SLA 
Oversee and facilitate patch management and assist with maintenance windows activities
Manage vendors and enforce client policies, procedures, and processes 
Facilitate cross training and knowledge transfer among team members 
Create and review technical recovery plans and disaster recovery reports 
Responsibly for release management and planning thereof in the environment 
Management of P1/P2 and problem calls in the environment
Coordinate and facilitate service take-on activities
Creation and management of architectural diagrams
Analyse the environment to identify gaps and risks
Assist with service meeting and ad-hoc reporting to the client
Drive and facilitate continues service improvement
Take accountability for the environment
Resource/Capacity Management
Demonstrate leadership and be a mentor for the support team
Engagement layer with client and business for daily operations
Attend operations meetings and drive next steps
Management of teamâ??s daily activities
Identify 2IC to develop
Assist with support and maintenance on applications like WSUS, Anti-Virus,  Backup, and restore management and Active Directory Management
Other:
Work environment:
The position will require that the person needs to be at the manufacturing plant during working hours in Secunda. Offices onsite will be provided to the candidate; this will most likely be open plan offices where you will work together with the team
Travel:
Travelling is required. Own transport and driverâ??s license is essential.
