TEMP BOOKKEEPER - 6 months

RS Recruitment Services is assisting a large organisation in the FMCG RETAIL INDUSTRY to recruit a TEMP BOOKKEERER 6 months, to be based at their offices in DURBAN NORTH. R12 000 to R15 000 ctc.



OUR CLIENT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY DOING BUSINESS IN THE ZULULAND AREA FOR OVER THREE GENERATIONS AND HAS GROWN INTO AN ORGANISATION THAT NOW EMPLOY MORE THAN 1 000 PEOPLE.



Applicants should be/have the following:



Relevant 5 years proven bookkeeping experience.

Degree in accounting (or equivalent).

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.

Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Advanced Excel skills.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.



Responsibilities:



Recording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process.

Verifying those transactions are recorded in the suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.

Bringing the books to the trial balance stage.

Bank reconciliations.

Reconcile store cash-ups daily.

Capturing H/O petty cash.

Pension and ATM pay-outs, follow ups, schedule, and payments.

Capturing provisions (utilities, bank charges, ad hoc).

Expense analysis.

Capturing and reconciling intercompany transactions.



Remuneration:



R12 000 to R15 000 ctc.
