Cold Storage facility Storeman - Prospecton

Job Profile
Ensure that all material and equipment are accounted for and in good working order, preventing operational downtime
Control stock and ensure servicing and maintenance of equipment and immovable property
Liaise with service providers and obtain quotes when necessary
Investigate breakdown incidents, undertake minor repairs, and take appropriate action
Manage housekeeping and on-site contractors
Comply with Health & Safety regulations and ensure compliance of on-site contractors
Participate in the Health & Safety Committee, administer basic first aid and firefighting duties
Appointed as a designated Company Vehicle Driver to undertake purchasing, collections, and delivery for company requirements
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 or equivelant
Valid Code 8 Drivers License
Own reliable transport
Relevant Storeman experience in the cold storage/warehousing industry, preferably with perishable product knowledge
Stable work history of at least 3 years with one employer
Very proficient in reading, speaking, and writing English
Able to work independently under minimal supervision
Efficient and well organised with a good work ethic and attitude
Work well under pressure in a structured deadline-driven environment
Uphold company ethics and values and act with integrity
Must be able to prove low sick leave track record
Must be able to undertake standby duties
Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays on a shift rotation basis
Must be able to travel between different sites
