KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEMatric or senior certification equivalent (to be submitted with application)Ability to inspire and motivate employees to achieve goalsExcellent problem-solving skillsA high calibre, ambitious individual with OCEAN EXPORT skills ranging from receipt of order to final delivery as defined per Incoterm3 to 5 years hands-on experience is required with advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressureA tertiary qualification would be an advantageSKILLS & ATTRIBUTESStrategic thinking skillsTime management skillsGood decision-making skillsPlanning and OrganizingGood communication skillsReliable, Adaptable and able to work under pressureAttention to detailStrong team player with positive attitudeMaintain and build strong relationshipsPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESDay to day OperationsControl/Manage export process from receipt of order to final delivery as defined per Incoterms 2020Request for booking confirmation from the shipping line / co-loaderRegister file on Cargo Wise once booking confirmation is received from the shipping line / co-loaderInform transporter of the planned export shipment by sending through a collection / delivery instructionMonitor pick up and pack dates in accordance with firm stacks – Cargo Wise to be updated real-timeEnsure all commercial documentation received tallies and is correct for customs clearance purposesProcess customs declarations in conformance with the Customs and Excise Act 91 of 1964Arrange and co-ordinate customs exams and follow upsArrange for inspectionArrange / apply for certificates (EUR1 / COO / GSP / CNCA / ISF Filing)Ensure that containers are pre-advisedCapture and arrange shipping instruction / Bills of Lading – error freeMonitor vessel sailing and confirm container shipped on boardProcess cargo duesUpdate internal work notes on Cargo Wise – real-timeGenerate status report to customer daily regarding the milestone event/progress of the shipmentEnsure that containers are stacked within the prescribed timesPrepare costing sheets and ensure invoice is sent to the customer within KPIManagement of FinancialsVerify customer’s credit terms prior to proceeding with the shipmentQuality check accuracy of estimate prior to expediting shipmentPrepare costing sheet – collating of all disbursements, calculation of agency and finance feesAccount for profit / loss on shipmentManage costs and negotiation of rates to ensure maximum profitReconcile all 3rd party invoicesEnsure all shipments are handled in accordance with the company’s profit marginsSign off job profit summary prior to posting local client / overseas agent costsManage finance in operations – WIP - (KPI
