Engineering Designer

Our client in wastewater systems are looking for a Engineering designer.Designers take a central role in the delivery of projects. Designers are directly responsible for the Quality, Creativity and Delivery of the projects they are overseeing. It is a role that requires attention to detail and a deep understanding of the products and services offered by the Company and its competitors. A Designer is expected to act with the highest moral and ethical standards, in a trustworthy manner whilst also protecting the intellectual property, goodwill and confidentiality of the company’s information and methodologies. Successful execution of the role of a Designer is subject to the roles and responsibilities assigned to this individual, is based on the achievement of performance KPIs, and the diligent and timeous execution of the roles and responsibilities assigned to the Design Lead. Each function assigned to the Designer carries an important contribution to the success of the business and the goal of being market leading in every way and achieving the highest standards of quality and service.The key areas of focus and a detailed understanding of the role include, but is not limited to CAD Design, Manufacturing and Business Development.Duties:1. Preparation of design related material for Proposals and Costings;2. Engineering Interaction;3. Design planning based on project/system requirements;4. Creating, implementing and maintaining the Design and Development ISO document system;5. Ensuring designs are executed according to information issued and quality standards;6. Provides detailed engineering information by answering questions and requests;7. Provides cost effective innovative solutions;8. Completes projects in an efficient and timely manner;9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;10. Ensuring the dedicated design server & software subscriptions are maintained accordingly;11. Creating accurate detailed designs for manufacturing by the Company and/or contractor;MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONS :National Senior Certificate (NSC),Mechanical Engineering Qualification or equivalentEXPERIENCE :3-5 Years’ Experience in the Water Treatment Products and Services offered by the Company;Understanding of Water Treatment Products and Services offered by the Company;Understanding of Water Treatment Products and Services and ancillary technologies, products and methodologies;Computer literate and intermediate with Microsoft Suite and Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software;Appropriate training and certifications with respect to Computer Aided Design (CAD) software;Appropriate understanding of the manufacturing processes required by the Company;REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS :Code B Drivers’ License, CAD Software, Concept Development, Problem Solving, Project Management, Focus, Planning, Creativity , Attention to Detail, Innovation, Time Management, Working under pressure and Leadership.
