Mechanical Engineering Technician - East London

Our client seeks the skills of a qualified, driven and detail-orientated Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their established organization. Duties may include but not be limited to the following: * Working alongside colleagues to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems * Inspecting and modifying existing designs and prototypes. * Running tests, diagnostics, and calibrations. * Using AutoCAD software to develop designs, and implementing feedback from Engineers. * Conducting experiments and investigations under the guidance of Engineers. * Inspecting inventory and reordering materials and technical components. * Analysing operations and offering suggestions for improvement. * Maintaining records and assisting with presentations. * Quality control * Manage records and administrative tasks     *MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:* * Diploma in Mechanical Engineering * 10 Years of relevant experience, preferably within the Automotive sector * AutoCAD Software experience essential * Valid Driver License * Demonstrate a sound understanding of Engineering terminology * Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations   *BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:*   * Strong interpersonal skills * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Strong troubleshooting ability * Communicate and perform effectively under pressure * Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. * Superb writing and presentation skills *Salary:  *Comparative market-related salary, negotiable dependent on candidate experience plus benefits   *MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:* * Diploma in Mechanical Engineering * 10 Years of relevant experience, preferably within the Automotive sector * AutoCAD Software experience essential * Valid Driver License * Demonstrate a sound understanding of Engineering terminology * Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations   *BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:*   * Strong interpersonal skills * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Strong troubleshooting ability * Communicate and perform effectively under pressure * Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. * Superb writing and presentation skills
