WIRELESS CARPLAY DECODER/ WIRED ANDROID AUTO + REVERSE CAMERA INTERFACE- Apple carplay or Android Auto

Use your factory screen to view reverse camera image + access apps, navigation, music, and other apps from your phone. Keep original car menu and access the phone via smart module. Integrates into existing system, does not affect warranty.

Upgrade kit supplied @ R8500. No modifications to existing wiring. Plugs into factory wiring. All existing functions are retained.
Fitment can be arranged with a technician (+-R800)

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

  • The smart module is a retrofit kit adding CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity to AUDI’s equipped with the MMI 3G BASIC, MMI 3G HIGH and MMI 3G+ entertainment systems.
  • The module works by communicating with your existing MMI system as well as your in-car entertainment system steering wheel controls, MMI rotary controls and associated buttons, vehicle speaker system and the Central Information Display.
  • It operates in either by-pass mode or in “active mode”. In by-pass mode the module does not affect the normal operation of the in-car entertainment system, the standard AUDI MMI 3G user interface and the standard AUDI navigation system(if fitted) will be shown on the CID when in by-pass mode.
  • Active mode is initiated when you connect your mobile phone to the car via the wireless Bluetooth connection or USB cable. After connection, the Smart Module activates CarPlay or Android Auto (dependent upon the operating system of your phone, iOS or Android). The Central Information Display (CID) will then show the CarPlay or Android Auto user interface and unleash the power of CarPlay/Android Auto.

FUNCTIONS:

1. Works with wireless Apple CarPlay, pairing via Bluetooth, transfer via WIFI.

2. Airplay function, connected with a USB cable, playing movie/navigation/music with iPhone

3. To work with wired CarPlay also, connect via cable(wired keeps your phone charged at the same time)

4. Android Auto, Android Mirroring-Link for Android Phones

5. GPS navigation Apps like Google Maps, Waze and Apple Maps are all available, live traffic information

6. Music Apps such as Youtube, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon etc. Audio through the factory PCM media, lyrics show on display for some apps.

7. Voice control available on cars supporting the function.

8. Aftermarket front/rear/360 camera input. (Dynamic guidance lines are supported)

9. USB flash drive to play music and videos by connecting USB port from CarPlay kit

10. Full OEM buttons control.
