Job Description:

As a key member of Finance team, you will be responsible for:

• Gain an understanding of the businesses, in order to account for the transactions in the correct manner
• Processing of transactions for all the various cash books
• Processing of creditor transactions
• Compilation of bank reconciliations for all the various cash books
• Prepare and process month-end journal entries to TB level
• Ensuring all intercompany transactions have been accounted for and reconciled
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial reports for review by FM, keeping to month-end deadlines
• Completing VAT201 and EMP201 returns and reconciliations
• Calculating depreciation & keeping FAR up to date
• Ensuring legislation is followed regarding VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, etc
• Assist with Annual and BBBEE Audit
• Assisting in preparing budgets and forecasts
• Processing and administration applicable to projects
• Handling of queries and following up on matters
• Record keeping and filing
• Ad-hoc task and procedures as and when required

Education:

• Completed BCom in Accounting or equivalent (minimum)

Skills Required:

• Completed SAICA articles (non-negotiable)
• Financial Acumen
• Excel Advanced Level
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Effective communication skills
• Deadline driven
• Effectively works under pressure
